Inspiration 

The finished result may be semi abstract through an automatic process of making; albeit still life pieces are representational, but always going back to a my passion for natural organic forms.  The fluidity of the forms echoes the flow of nature creating a sense of mindfulness, achieving contentment with the everyday.  Transforming objects to monumental that encourages the viewer to acknowledge it for its beauty and significance.

Feeling compelled to record the outcome; the work becomes a process and a form of communication which is translated and captures nuances through use of oils, watercolour, pencil and charcoal as the medium for expression.

Van Gogh, the Post Impressionist painters, Impressionists, Lowry, Tracey Emin, and Grayson Perry are my main sources of inspiration when researching movements and specific artists.
